Vevolve Partners With Baseball Nation – Interview With Marc Fein

Vevolve and Baseball Nation to create a more connected baseball world. The partnership is set to begin at the end of July and continue through Summer 2021.

About Baseball Nation

Based out of Dallas, TX, Baseball Nation is a renowned baseball association recognized for the organization of unrivaled leagues, tournaments, and player performance training. With the constraints induced by current social-distancing standards, Vevolve’s collaboration with Baseball Nation to provide online lessons will benefit all. Vevolve’s effortless, user-centered, and operator-friendly online instruction, provides access to parents and coaches to assist in the enhancement of their young athlete’s performance.

About Vevolve

Vevolve is a video coaching platform that powers personal achievement through accessible coaching. Our video technology connects students and coaches and is not dependent on location or skill. This makes valuable coaching attainable for everyone. To date dozens of Coaches from around the United States, and across several activities, have begun doing virtual lessons, video review and technique analysis through the mobile app. Download here.

In an interview with Marc Fein, Baseball Nation VP Media and marketing , we asked him a few questions about the recent partnership with Vevolve.
Why did Baseball Nation partner with Vevolve?

We’re always looking for great Baseball organizations to partner with. Vevolve made perfect sense right now. We do in person lessons at our parks. Now, to add this option for our players is great. Especially, with the health situation the country is dealing with right now.

What is included in the partnership?

What’s in it for everyone is helping the kids get better. The other advantages that our coaches will also be part of the Vevolve system. So, they will have access to our players, and our players will have access to more coaches. Vevolve will also have the advantage of adding our coaches to their staple of teachers.

What do you hope to accomplish with this partnership with Vevolve?

I hope we can help Vevolve grow and get as many players as possible. The goal is always to provide players with every opportunity to get better. We think this will work well towards that end. It’s always about the kids! Providing them a good opportunity to learn the game, and to get better. Also, it’s important to do that with the right kind of people. We know Vevolve has the same values and knowledge we expect from our staff.

What are you most excited about with this partnership with Vevolve?

I think the thing that’s most exciting is being part of something that’s new and different. I really think this is something kids will be doing on a regular basis in the future. It’s exciting for us to be a part of it from the start.

Do you see Vevolve and Baseball nation working together for years to come?

I certainly hope so! And I don’t see why we wouldn’t. Again, it’s new so it’s something that we will  have to watch and see how it takes off. But, I look forward to a long positive relationship with this great new company.

Private Instruction While Social Distancing

During this time of isolation and social distancing, it is important that we keep our distance from individuals who are not in our close bubble. However, activities such as athletics, music, dance and more provide important social and developmental skills, particularly for our youth. Further, athletes competing at high levels cannot afford to fall behind and must work and adapt to the circumstances. For this reason, it is key to find a solution for private instruction while social distancing.

Vevolve is the perfect solution for Students of all activities, as they can improve their skills while also maintaining distance from their peers, teammates and Coaches. Vevole connects Students anywhere with personally tailored coaching for the specific skills the athlete is looking to improve.

Both Coaches and Students can benefit from our messaging platform by completing instruction and training from the comfort of their own homes. With the Vevolve app, this time of social distancing is the perfect opportunity to push ahead of the competition.

Private Instruction With Vevolve While Social Distancing
Convenient communication from Student and Coach
  • Students select one of the many coaches providing lessons through Vevolve (https://vevolve.com/coach/). Then, they send a video message of a practice or performance along with answers to prompts provided.
Personal feedback from Coach to Student
  • The Coach will review the video looking for specific ways to improve the Student’s skills. The Coach will send back a video with that analysis as well as drills for practice. Students and Coaches can exchange messages until one clicks to complete the lesson.
Individual receives all of the Coach’s attention and focus
  • The Coach can funnel all of his/her attention into helping the Student achieve their overall goals rather than only spending part of the lesson working directly with the athlete as it would be in a group setting.
Instruction is tailored to what the individual needs, not a group
  • No more going through the motions of generic fundamental drills that any person can offer. With our experienced Coaches, you will get feedback on exactly what you intend to work on along with drills made specifically for the Student.

Vevolve App Update

Vevolve Video Lesson Update: In the latest app release, Vevolve added several new features requested by you, our Students and Coaches. These improvements will improve the virtual lesson experience.

First, Students now have the ability to cancel their Lesson Request until their Coach Accepts the lesson. At that time, we know the Coach is taking their time to respond, so the cancel button becomes disabled. This will allow individuals, parents and kids to send their lesson with complete confidence.

Second, we improved the account creation and log-in functionality to include as many accounts as you’d like to sign-into on your device. This was a popular request from parents, who asked for the ability to create an account for each of their children, as well as themselves. Each user still requires their own email address for notifications. However, you can toggle between your accounts from the “Switch Accounts Screen.”

Other recent improvements include:

  • Longer video lengths. These are now extended to up to 5 minutes
  • Ability to upload videos and images throughout the lesson. Each message can now include a video
  • Additional reminders when messages are sent and received.
  • Bug fixes and User Experience Improvements.

We love hearing from all of our Students & Coaches. If you have any feedback for us, please let us know through the form below.
